OpenClass.lk, operated by Ranjith Kumar Neranjan, collects only information needed to operate accounts, courses, payments, learning, support, security, and legal records.
Information collected
- Account details such as name, email address, telephone number, verification and security state.
- Enrollment, course, attendance, progress, recording, material, certificate, review, and notification activity.
- Payment references, payment evidence, refund information, and immutable accounting records. OpenClass does not collect card details.
- Lecturer application, qualification, identity, profile, and payout information where applicable.
- Support messages, attachments, audit events, IP address, user agent, and essential session/security data.
How information is used
- Provide and secure the service, authorize access, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent activity.
- Process enrollments, verify manual payments, apply refund/access rules, and maintain required records.
- Send transactional account, class, payment, security, and support communications.
- Administer lecturer operations, complaints, certificates, audits, backups, and legal obligations.
Sharing and processors
Information is shared only as required for authorized teaching and operations, with infrastructure and email providers acting for the service, or when required by law. Private receipts, identity evidence, bank details, and support attachments are not public and are not provided to unrelated lecturers or students.
OpenClass does not sell personal information or use production data as public testimonials without permission.
Retention and security
Operational data is retained while needed for the service. Financial, enrollment, audit, consent, dispute, and security records may be retained longer when needed for integrity, recovery, or legal obligations. Records are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer required and can safely be removed.
Sensitive uploads use private storage and authorized application routes. Encryption, access control, backups, session security, and audit trails reduce risk, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Your choices and contact
You can review and update supported account fields and may request access, correction, or other applicable privacy assistance by writing to info@openclass.lk. Some immutable finance, audit, and security records cannot be rewritten merely because an account is closed.
Only essential session and security cookies are currently required. Analytics and advertising tracking are not enabled.
