This agreement describes the baseline relationship between Ranjith Kumar Neranjan, operating OpenClass.lk, and an approved lecturer. Course-specific written terms may add to, but must not silently contradict, this agreement.
Independent teaching responsibility
A lecturer is responsible for accurate qualifications and profile information, lawful and original course content, safe and professional teaching, schedule reliability, student privacy, and compliance with platform policies. This agreement does not by itself create employment, partnership, or authority to bind OpenClass.
Course approval and delivery
- Courses, batches, prices, schedules, public claims, materials, recordings, and material changes remain subject to the platform approval workflow.
- Lecturers must not collect OpenClass course payments privately or redirect students to an unapproved destination.
- Live links and protected materials must be supplied only through authorized platform tools.
- Lecturers must promptly report cancellations, safety concerns, complaints, copyright claims, and privacy incidents.
Commercial terms
The default share is 40% to the platform and 60% to the lecturer, unless an approved course- or lecturer-specific rule is recorded before the relevant payment. Each earning stores the applied split and is not recalculated by a later rule change.
Earnings become available only after payment approval, the applicable refund window, and any required adjustment. Payouts are requested through the platform, remain subject to the configured minimum, and are completed manually to the lecturer’s verified private bank destination. Refunds, reversals, bank charges, or lawful adjustments may affect available or future earnings.
Content rights
The lecturer retains ownership of original content but grants OpenClass a non-exclusive licence to host, display, stream, reproduce for delivery and backup, and make approved promotional previews available for the agreed course operation. Third-party material must be properly licensed and attributed.
- Student personal data may be used only for authorized teaching and support.
- Protected course content and student information must not be moved to unrelated marketing lists or services.
- Tax and registration obligations applicable to lecturer income remain the lecturer’s responsibility unless law requires otherwise.
Suspension and termination
OpenClass may pause publication, teaching access, payouts, or the relationship while investigating security, fraud, safety, privacy, payment, qualification, conduct, or legal concerns. Termination does not erase accrued student, finance, audit, complaint, or intellectual-property obligations.
